Anthem Sports was established in 1996 by Dheeraj “Vicky” Wadhwa, carrying forward a rich family tradition in the game. Today, the company is run alongside his brothers, all renowned former cricketers.
Producing a range of cricket equipment for every level of the game, from leg guards and gloves to elite cricket bats, alongside a range of tennis racquets, they supply players throughout India and overseas.
From humble beginnings to industry leaders
The directors fondly remember their modest beginnings, when office furnishings consisted of little more than a few plastic chairs! However, through hard work and determination, the company has seen a remarkable transformation.
They expanded into dedicated premises in 2007, and by 2018 had constructed a modern office facility on site. Today, Anthem holds a proud reputation as one of the top sporting goods manufacturers in India, widely recognised for quality and performance. Key to their ethos is dealing with customers and suppliers alike in a fair, honest, and straightforward manner, a customer-first mindset that mirrors our own core values.
The JSW connection: a partnership built on trust
Anthem’s relationship with JS Wright & Sons began when director Jeremy Ruggles first visited in 1994, building a solid foundation of trust that has lasted more than three decades. We are proud to have supported Anthem’s growth from those early days with plastic chairs to the manufacturing powerhouse they are today and look forward to supplying them with top-quality English cricket bat willow for many years to come.
